Thanks for the reply, I've been looking at this one, and although the model number differs slightly, I can't find any significant differences in the hardware? Is there anything I missed?

A white notebook is seldom a good idea, as it would attract lots of dirt. Unless you want to make a specific fashion statement???

Specs look good, although I agree with Raptor about spending a little on upgrading a desktop. A powerful desktop will bring you much more satisfaction than a mid-range notebook.

Might be wrong here, but I do believe HiFi Corp. have substantially cleaned up their act with regards to grey imports. I remember reading somewhere that they'd largely (or wholly - can't recall) ceased to source directly. Their website seems to corroborate this.

I still wouldn't buy any of the lesser brands, especially those exclusive to them, but I don't think the big brands are an issue any more.

I just checked and they seem to be competing with OK Bazaars in their PC lineup. The cheap ones are so not cool.
