Just got a phone call from a vodacom rep (very noisy line and private number) offering me on my existing contract a "Month to Month" offer, that consists of a MyMeg 500 ,to my current contract , a 3g hsdpa usb modem, and a second sim to use in the modem ,for R79 a month.
I am fairly sure that the offer is legit, but what sounds odd is the fact that there giving me a modem with it, even though its a Month to Month contract and I can "cancel at any time"?
This doesn't sound normal for vodacom, I wouldn't mind accepting as I am currently paying R220 for bolt-on 750meg per month, but I dont want to be locked into a contract with Vodacom,
PS Also got the normal spin on, "because Ive been a vodacom subscriber for so long", 6 years none the less...
Edit: Just canceled the 750meg month to month bundle as apparently they now do a 1gig M2M for R149, vodacom being vodacom never informed me of this *sigh*, but would still like to know about the above,as it would probable fit my needs better.
