Coming from Neotel, I must say I'm impressed with the service from Telkom is this instance. I applied for a new ADSL service on the 14th of Sept. and it was installed yesterday 20th....:D Keeping in mind the weekend, I went from NO copper to my premises to connected ADSL in 5 days flat.

Also impressed with Mweb. I did an online registration , and had my user name and password before I could even close the application page. I logged on without any problems. I've been downloading from yesterday afternoon without any hiccups whatsoever. Getting a constant 28-32 kbps on torrents.

Looking at this performance I should have done this a long time ago....:)

I ordered my line phone line on a friday, was installed on the monday but waited like 4 weeks for telkom to convert the line to ADSL than the line kept dropping the connection, struggled another 8 weeks to get telkom to come fix the line. ended up waisting +R1000...

What size line you have? 384k? I hit 400kbps on torrents, download 1.5GB in 1hour....

wish telkom would upgrade my 4mb to 10mb...

Yip... I'm on a 384. Suits my needs for now. I was really surprised. I was connected and surfing before the tech even packed up his gear.

When going back to 384 from Neotel Prime, it was just so nice with the latency. It was also so nice to play online games again, not that I'm a big gamer.

had it installed 2 days later... depends how busy the guys in the area are and if there is a stike or not...
