Is this enough to last throughout loadshedding??

Hi,

So as the title suggests will the setup im looking at getting be enough to carry me through the 2hours of loadshedding. Im not a electrian by any means, just a regular guy looking at making life about more livable.

Im looking at running the usual things like: 6 LED lights, A+ fridge, A+ Freezer, 32" & 50" TV's, Fibre router and maybe run a kettle for some coffee.

Would 2x 100AH and a Pure Sine Wave 48VDC 220VAC 5000w hybrid mppt inverter 80A Solar Charge Controller be enough or should I look at either more battries or a completely other solution?

Are the batteries 48v lithium batteries?

If so then yes definitely, it will carry you through 2 hours of loadshedding.

200AH x 48 = 9.6kw

At 80% DOD you will be able to use 7.68kw of that

what batteries are these? if they 12v you would need 4 for that inverter.
 
As mentioned,that kettle will kill your capacity
Go gas for heating/cooking
Leave the Fridge/Freezer off

And if those 100AH are 12volt as i'm guessing,you'd need 4 to get to the 48volt needed for that inverter (also the depth you can discharge those 12v leads are lower than lithium,so much shorter backup time - but much cheaper)

probably to protect them from surges and stuff. i assume this will be permanently connected. i agree on the boiling water part, 1 x gas stove and whistling kettle. high loads on battery will shorten the Ah.

makes sense just thought instead of having power syrges through the fridge and freezer, using gas for cooking so can be used for the kettle (hot water)
 
Thanks guys so - will try and get the load of the appliances and post here. Not trying to go over kill for now. I got a quote from a company doing these type of installs and went according to that. Still looking at using them but would want to source my own inverter and batteries. This was the quote.

when buying inverters or solar controllers for that matter always try and find a dual if possible
this allows you to have 2 banks of solar at different angles to maximise the days sun
or you have 1 array on sun and 1 on wind, very useful for night time generating electricity
