I am trying to host a site at the moment and when I check my logs it looks like my site is being hit from Mauritius using www.afrinic.net.

Is this by any chance me coming in from my iBurst connection?
I wonder why it would come up as Mauritius if is... Possibly we are buying SAT3 bandwidth through Mauritus?

Very possible. I notice I have occasionally been getting Mauritius-related advertising on my browser.

Oh dear, Norman needs an ambulance..

Actually roffelcopter, if you read some of the old posts on this topic i.e. do a search for "afrinic" you will find the reason why it comes up as Mauritius

You are an old man.. that's for sure. And your limited knowledge shows. BTW how's life in Eagle Canyon? Has anyone done some "affirmative shopping" at your pozie yet?

You are a child, did you not notice that noone else knew what a roflcopter was?

Please if you cannot seperate your emotions from the normal threads on this site just stop responding to any I write.

It's pathetic.

Ok, this has gone far enough.

It's likely that iBurst's new 41.x IP address range has not been properly assigned and hence it's still referring to Afrinic, who is the custodian of IP space for African ISPs. Afrinic is currently assigning 41.x adresses to new and expanding ISP's, and if all the reverse delegations have not been completed it may appear that iBurst IP ranges are in fact "afrinic" instead of iBurst.

The nick-nack and whatnot from JTech was uncalled for.
