Is sending an email from my telkomsa.net account to an international email address (gmail or hotmail) classified as local bandwidth usage? I wanna send some big emails overseas but I don't wanna max out my cap just yet...

Dont worry found my answer...

"Once your service threshold and collective threshold has been exceeded you will be placed within restrictive access as follows:
Full access to our e-mail service for both sending and receiving e-mail..." From telkomsa.net

What does that answer for you?

That your 1GB, 2Gb or 3Gb package has to be used first? Or that you still have access to email when capped and can only use local?

Both those questions are true ;)

I asked someone at SAIX a little while ago to verify this for me, and YES local use only accounts or capped accounts that have local b/w can use smtp.saix.net server to send email. POP3 is from telkomsa.net is local as well.

well all usage counts as international until you are capped...
