Its one I inherited from an office move to charge the laptop. Its a lekker solid chunk of metal which I like. I still have PTSD from a starter battery that exploded on a Jenny that I was standing next to when it failed. Plastic is not a battery cage.
People nearly die from a smartphone battery going ape, imagine what one of these inverter ones will do!!!
 
The local infrastructure in my neighborhood seems to be good, haven't had any LS related issues since living here.

Interestingly though, after a 4h load shedding session, the grid voltage drops pretty low to ~194V and slowly ramps up to 230V when everyone's geysers/batteries/etc are back up to where they need to be.

This pattern is fairly repeatable with each LS session
 
I've noticed some higher voltages in my parents area on occasion, but generally they seem to be around 235-240v

The complexes mini-substation, supplies about 50 free standing homes. These are replacement transformers after the old ones blew up in December 2019.

This is part of the Bryan-North Grid.

253 is high. We lost fridges when it was steady on that level last year so I would report to COJ with evidence and times as it varies during the day.

I've got one of those for the inverter trolley. I guess they also need protection.

Yes, I have them on my fridges too. The one with the 5 minute delay, as opposed to the one with the 10 second delay for the inverter.

The inverter itself also has a delay built in, I hear it switch over to AC a few seconds after power is restored (in this case a few seconds after the 10 seconds from the Tripconnect LOL)
