Ok what im looking for is an ADSL service

1. I have the line in my house (Its offline now as we just moved in ) renting
2. Can an ADSL company activate the line in their names and then give me a package like uncapped ADSL with free router bla bla per month ?

Trying to stay clear of putting things in my name dont want anything on it except my car

You need an active landline to get adsl. To activate the landline, you have to do it in your name.

So simply put, no, you can't register your landline in an adsl suppliers name....

You mean you want to put the telephone line in the name of the owner of the house that you are renting ?

Just ask the owner to do that, then you get an account with an ISP and have it sperate to the line.

Nope...no luck like that man. The problem is that if you have a telephone line on someone elses name in your house it can be seen as fraud for one thing and also when something goes wrong and a fault needs to be reported the person who's line it is has to do it as well as be present with all upgrades and service changes.

All needs to be done in your name at the end...
