I am currently in the market to purchase a zoom lens for my Nikon.
So, I was considering the Tamron and Nikkor ones.

So whilst I was surfing around (time wasting on a Sunday FTW), I found this increadible promotion at DionWired:

Nikon AF70-300mm Lens @ R1799 (the picture indicates the VR). :)

Could it be that DionsWired really has this on one heck of a promotion (as the normal price floats around the 5.5k mark)?

Or is it just a typo/photo brainfart?
:wtf:

Me hopes for the former.......
:D

Well if it is advertised at that go buy it ;)

I wonder if they're selling the Sigma 70-300mm and just used the Nikon's picture

Aah in their leaflet... Looks like they copied the price of the sigma next to it or something.

I would go into Dions and "firmly insist" on that price. Give it a try, what do you have to lose?

They usually state, in small print, that they cannot be held responsible for misprints and lack of stock and whatnot. But try your luck and maybe christmas might come early for you ;)

Okay, went through to Cedar Square Dions - they admitted the error, and played the "it's sold out" line.
:(

Maybe try again and just ask them for the lens. When they produce the lens tell them that they have it advertised for R1799 and im sure they'll have to do something about that and won't use the "out of stock" card

The DION Wired at Gateway has disclaimer and a letter from the advertising department stuck to the glass on the lens counter IRO this "advertising" error!
