Is this the best car advice?

I own two german cars and both have done over 100,000km and the maintenance cost is minimal. The parts and services for my wife's honda costs more than what I pay for a bmw.

I disagree with this. Firstly you never buy a toyota Secondly I have seen many of those "low mileage" cars having done well over 100 000km's, I can agree that if a BMW, for example, has not been looked after, serviced properly and driven into the ground then it will become excessive to maintain and keep running, and this will apply to all cars.

Who gave you this advice?

My 2000 Merc C200 will strongly disagree with this. Low maintenance costs, total reliability and always a pleasure to drive. Maybe leave the BMW and Audi there, but it has nothing to do with the amount of driving, more the style of driving.
