...of the road of my Samsung 64 inch plasma tv

I see this line on the side. Changes colours depending on background.

The TV is over 8 yrs old now

Question.
Is the plasma dying ?
Is it worth fixing?
How much time do I have ?

Unlikely to be (economically) fixable but also unlikely to get worse.

If you can live with it then it will still last for ages.

But 8 years really was a good life.

Been looking to upgrade but was waiting to move into our new home in a couple months.

I may keep this in the spare room.

Any suggestions for a good upgrade. This is a 64inch plasma.

What about a projector ?

OLED is the only near equivalent if you are used to plasma black levels.

LG OLED CX 65-inch is the best thing you could possibly buy right now.

Projectors are still a compromise in quality even on the best of screens and then always at a higher cost.

If you main goal is size then you can’t lose though.
