is this worth the price differance?

I would actually rather go for the mushkin over OCZ RAM.. even if they were the same price..
Mushkin rated at 1.5v as opposed to the 1.65 of OCZ

but is mushkin reliable? as i have never heard of anybody using them.

the Mushkins are reliable + they come with a lifetime warranty, so you can just RMA them if they stop working :)

In the end, having more RAM is more important than the specific brand.

+1 Pada, Mushkin is a good brand overseas and with a lower voltage = more overclocking ;)
