IS Uncapped Express Account - ****

Hi All

I have a IS 512K Uncapped Express Account. During the past few days or weeks these speeds and web page timeouts are getting worse.

I have logged a fault and i got told from my ISP that these accounts are even SHAPED ON WEEKENDS....

This is not on. I do not pay R 1369 Per Month To get shapped, slow speed etc..

I Do understand that during business hours that they do it. 7am - 7pm that i can handle, but not on weekends.

If anyone else is having problems please post then here.

bladebob, I'm having the exact same problem, and it only seems to be getting worse. I have to refresh a page 2 or 3 times just for it to load - local and international sites

Ditto. The last two weeks have been terrible on IS uncapped.

I'm on the IS uncapped slow-haul satellite and last week got pretty bad. I logged a fault with my local ISP thru whom I got the account. IS got back to them with some bull about the traceroutes I sent with the fault, so I told them and showed them they were talking crap, and now somehow things are flying again!

Let me answer this question for you as some ISP's seem to not be telling their clients everything.

1. The uncapped express is a shaped product. During office hours, you will find P2P application very slow, however all other applications should not be affected. P2P after hours and on weekend flies. I don't believe IS has enough bandwidth during the day, at night the allow the uncapped accounts to use their leased line bandwidth.

Well, I don't agree. 12 month minimum contract period plus account activation fee! They advertise apples but sell oranges.
