Is this performance standard on 4mb IS uncapped?

It was no different yesterday evening after Seacom's maintenance issues were resolved.

Or am I just a special snow flake?

The best part is, my torrent uploads always run at a full 512k :)

Yes IS is always like that.... I find myself download a torrent and after 12 hours during the day uploaded about 1Gb but downloaded 300mb. Upload speed doesn't seem to be limited at all or subject to shaping...

Hell, I hope they get charged for that uploading bandwidth somewhere along the line. The throttling is just blatent, and covers everything, including port 80, not just p2p.

Hopefully we get some relief this week end.

They are indeed shaping download speeds badly. I have a 384k and a 4096k IS BAsic uncapped account. If i connect with the account and then in less than 3seconds connect my usenet I get full speed for about 1 hour before it slows.

So connect and then download something. You will see it goes fast for the first hour then slows. It just shows that its basically a form of throttling. Cause the account can clearly go full speed.
