Is uncapped speeds dropped?

Bad speeds are bakc AGAIN! Every second day this week, monday, wednesday and now friday! WTF?!?! :mad:
 
this is weird cos mine is running well now. Plz post which ISP you guys are with and which package. Maybe we can work out where the problem lies.

Axxess uncapped fibre, switch to telkom 1Gig and still the same.

Edit: Ill get full speed for about 10-15secs then 2-5min of sometimes as slow as 5Kb/s and then repeat :(

OK, I'm on the OpenWeb uncapped. Which Anti-Virus are you using? And which program are you downloading with from where?

Antivirus: Avira
Downloading from: torrents/anime-eden.com/download.com
App: utorrent/Flashget
Download from anywhere LOCAL: 400Kb/s!
 
I had to turn some features of Kaspersky off cos it was interfering with my Usenet downloads. I'm currently getting around 400 KB/s from Astraweb through Grabit and 10 KB/s through my BitTorrent Client (up and down).

which firewall are you using?

How many seeds does the torrent have?
 
Hmm ok, Im on 400 now, maybe they were still switching over soz. When I saw the spikes for full to nothing again on a friday I lost my cool! :p Hopefully it stay this was tho cause wednesday of less that 56k speeds was unbearable! :D Thnx mate, do u work for them or something cause when u smsed/emailed them (on Wednesday) it wasnt like 5mins and it was fixed!:eek:
 
haha... no. I have just made myself a list of every e-mail address they ever used in correspondence with me and I just e-mail them all at the same time! :D

to answer ur q tho I just use the default windows firewall and router one to filter my stuff, any recommendations (pref 64bit) also seed suck, I mainly rely on my anime-eden direct download paid subscription for good speeds! :) thnx again!
 
I use Demonoid, but I often find a lot of good torrents on Sumo Torrent as well. :)
 
Dammit and I just switched to Axxess from Openweb thinking that maybe OW was the problem but it seems it's just IS.
