Is Vodacom price fixing gsm data ??

I read a very interesting article in the Pretoria news last week “Little Gogga takes on Vodacom monolith”
All how Vodacom changed their price structure for their benefit when they saw Gogga making a success of there business plan.

So it delights me to see Gogga taking on Vodacom for the rights of all us GSM subscribers that are forced into paying Vodacom’s rates that they have set for the market.

It just makes me wonder why there haven’t been any data price cuts on the GSM network lately, as I’m sure you have all seen how cheep ADSL bandwidth has become with the introduction of the Seacom cable.

Vodacom is guilty of Price Collusion along with MTN.

(In case you didn't know, the competition commission is currently investigating Vodacom for exactly this, Price Collusion, along with MTN and possibly Cell-C)

If you want to accuse Voda and MTN of this, then fine....but then Cell C should not be included as a maybe, but as a certainty. They are charging the same for their data without having even invested in a 3G network yet (appart from assinging ZTE as a hardware vendor for the future network they are planning)

The news article said that Gogga is paying 50c per mb, this a company buying bulk data from Vodacom and they paying R500 per gig which is outrages !
