Is whey protein good or if not what are the side effects you experienced taking whey protein and would you recommend it to someone else from your experience

Is chicken good for you?
Is steak good for you?
Are eggs good for you?
Is tuna good for you?

Whey protein is just another source of protein, it's not some magic potion. Get the rest of your diet sorted out and if you are still battling to hit your protein macro goals for the day then supplement with whey protein.

The definition of the word supplement (whey is a dietary supplement) is "a thing added to something else in order to complete or enhance it.". Is the rest of your diet sorted 100%? Are you battling to hit your protein macros goals currently using real food?

I'm answering his question and giving some info/advice.

I'll tone it down a notch.

Depends if you are lactose intolerant or have IBS. If you have any of these I would suggest whey isolate. Symptoms include diarrhea and stomach cramps

Isolate, concentrate or hydro are all still made from milk, so if you're lactose intolerant you'd still have an issue regardless of which derivative of whey you consume.

Instead of getting the lekker nice big tub with the handle and the kiff label, you could maybe start smaller?
Game has the 454g USN resealable pack for R99.

I saw that one actually the other day but I wasn't too sure about the quality of it

Isolate contains less than 1% lactose. That’s is why you use it if you are lactose intolerant
