When you have good quality honey it tends to go hard/crystallize after a while in the cupboard.

This happened to my honey so I microwaved it in a glass jar until it went back to its liquid state (Some people place the container in warm water). For some reason I placed it in the fridge after cooling down. It's been 5 days and it remains liquid.

Could this be the answer?

Also add a teaspoon of water and stir in.

One of the reasons it crystallizes is because of dehydration (ie water evaporation).

The minute you placed it into the microwave you technically radurised the honey i.e. radiated the crap out of it and killed all the goodness.

Rather do the whole hot water thing, it preserves the nutrients.

FYI: You get pure honey and radurised honey (not always clearly marked), always buy the pure honey if you are after the micro-nutrients, otherwise you might as well buy golden syrup.

If you're getting raw honey, it's already hard when you buy it...and that's the one you want if you're after the nutrients.

This is good to know

I don't call it my honey... :D anyway, have to do the warm water thing when I want something sweet once in a while. Honey lasts me forever.

I also microwave it just before I use it to make it go liquid again.
Hopefully that doesn't kill all the good stuff in it.

Had some J&B(ee) last night the honey flavour one. Smooth and Sweet.

Honey is so good on toast and butter. Been watching videos of guys making mead with honey, looks really good.

Oh and honey in the fridge will eventually crystalize too.

Is there a drawback to crystalised honey? When my wife puts it on my bread for lunch, it tastes exactly the same.

Nope, no drawback whatsoever. Honey can last for hundreds of years.
And you don't have to keep it in the fridge.

I only placed my honey in the fridge cause at time of use the fridge door was closer than the cupboard door. It was a totally random act without purpose
