Today I come to ask a question that is equal parts mad and likely entirely futile.
Does Vodacom, or any other mobile network in South Africa for that matter still allow/support ISDN or Analogue data calls?
If so, do any of them still have a dialup service number that works in this day and age? Is there ANY dial-up or analogue service still remaining what-so-ever?
I ask this as a purely hobbyist question since I've been dabbling in old WAP enabled phones as of late and I have a morbid curiosity in getting the oldest phone possible (in this case, a Nokia 3330 but if that works I'll definitely give my Nokia 9110 a go too) to connect to and load my WAP/WML site I've been working on for a while.
I'd love to hear from fellow retro tech enthusiasts if anything this mad has been done in recent years?
P.S: I have the requirement for working WAP gateway solved, I just require the ISDN/Analogue connection to said gateway
