Hi,
Our ISDN Pabx was hacked over the weekend, we were notified by the telkom fraud department after it happened (to inform us).
We also received a SMS to say that our credit limit of R10000 had been exceeded and we now owe R58000.
Obviously from a business perspective, this is a killer. A few questions:
1. Surely this R10000 credit limit should be a safeguard for both telkom and us ? They say this hacking happened over 4 days, yet we were only notified once it was over?
2. What can we do ? VOIP Company we are meeting tomorrow to also discuss, any thoughts here? This had happened in the past, and we did notify them and hoped they would take precautions...
Now we have blocked all international numbers to safeguard ourselves.
I read on another forum, the same thing happening and the guy got a refund due to the credit limit note : http://www.carforums.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=18318
