Isonic Tablets

I would be careful. Basically the only decent thing buying from iSonic is something that isn't electrical - like a PC case.

That link to the MTN brochure is advertising the old galaxy tab. Looks like they getting the flyer though. flyer > old galaxy tab but < new galaxy tab.
 
What is the Glaxy tab like in practical use? I know it's a bit long in the tooth now, but the latest and greatest tablets are out of my price range. I need to read/edit Word documents and view sizable PDFs (5MB plus) on the go.

I had a look at one of my Word document at the Samsung store at Vodaworld. It was < 1MB with one large graphic, and scrolling the document was jerky. Does someone know if there is a non-WYSIWIG mode for editing Word documents on the Tab?

yes, but look at the price R229 with R100 airtime per month and 150MB data for first 12 months. Very cheap
 
The really attractive thing about the Tab is that I can get it on my phone contract, as I'm due for an upgrade. I like the idea of having a phone for voice calls, and a tablet for other functions. Since I also have a Cell C modem with 2GB a month, I could just slot that into the Tab and off I go!

I just don't think the Tab hardware is strong enough to do the things I need to do. So I may just go onto a contract without phone option, and wait six months for the Flyer to come down in price. Which it surely will as Android tablets keep coming out this year.

hi guys i bought one of these tablets and they are very nice
 
the only problem with them is the battery life otherwise i have setup my email accounts and use RDP software and its quiet impressive

which one did u get and for how much?
i want it mainly as an ebook/comics reader
