I think it's time for ISP's to tell us exactly what they are offering on their packages. ie.

1. How much data can we get on their packages before they throttle us?
2. What will the download speeds be after throtteling?
3. etc... etc... etc...

I think we all deserve to know that so that we can make our choices in what we want and who we want to use.

I dare all representatives to give us some figures.

The rules change by the month, so there is no definitive answer. Most ISP websites are pretty clear. As for throttling, with OpenWeb and Afrihost I have never experienced it

I know for a fact that Afrihost are very open about their shaping policies (which are dynamic and adjust in real time according to the network usage). When you are (and rarely in Cape Town) shaped, you just visit the Clientzone and it tells you exactly by how much.
