Well in my past experiences with many of the old school ISPs, Ethics was a word of fantasy. Ethics were lost in the days of Icon and Pixie, but are now being rekindled with the rebirth of the small town ISP.

My recent experience is that this infectious disease of ETHICS!!! has spilt over to the bigger ISPs now, but not your commercial ventures like Polka, Mweb or @lantic, no... it's going over to companies who specialise in setting up Virtual ISPs.

I've been dealing with SAIX and IS for years, and never did Ethics ever become part of their business model, what with SAIX being Telkom owned and IS opting to run unauthorised debit orders at their own enjoyment. No, I'm talking about the emerging ISP, a little bigger than your small town ISP, but geared to assist the small town ISP.

In the last 18 months, I've been bouncing from Provider to Provider looking for a company to supply me with bandwidth to rebrand and resell to my clientele. But I had very particular needs and through the dozen or so companies that I tried, and found them inadequate, one company was more than accommodating.

One company, though they failed to deliver what I needed, went beyond the extra mile in assisting me in my trial process, and even tolerating my angered outbursts when things didn't go my way... what can I say, I am but an immature human.

If any one here at MyBroadband.co.za wants to start an ISP and is not needing any fancy solutions, then I can whole heartedly recommend Wireless Dimensions. Even though they are unable to meet my picky needs, they are still a company that I wish I could do business with, as their ethics are at a level many others could only hope to attain.

My dealings with Myron, a representative at Wireless Dimensions, have been more than accommodating, and I'm sure Myron will tell you that I am not an easy to please customer. But the professional and ethical way in which I was handled, left me wishing that one day, my bandwidth needs would fit into the box of solutions they offer so that I may return to their network.

However, I have settled with another provider who specialises in Prepaid Solutions, which are better suited for my product range that I am developing for my clientele.

So I urge you, if you wish to start your own Virtual ISP, please don't hesitate to give Wireless Dimensions a go, message me on this site and I will give you their contact details. Out of five stars, I give them 4 1/2, so far my current provider only gets 3, but then again, I am a very difficult customer.

Could you please be so kind as to name the ISPs that these nicks are linked to... for the sake of science...

icon and pixie or PIX were eventually roled into MWeb when they were on the buying trail.
