I don't like it one bit. I have my own mail servers, yet the ISP (WISP) we use insists on re-routing all port 25 traffic (sending mails) through their own server.
This opens up other people flagging us as spammers which we're not (RDNS/SPF etc)
The only other thing I can do is to make the mail server listen on an alternative port. The problem is, Web Africa says its impossible on a shared solution
I mean I've RAN TWO shared servers (which I've setup myself with HELM etc) and BOTH I could have an alternative port running listening for email traffic.
It just gave all the domains hosted on there the ability to send email through their as well (authenticated by username/password FYI)
What alternatives are there? Seeing though as my request is SO impossible?
