Is there any place one can go to to see if there are currently any specials on ISP packages? Example, last year Lighspeed had that special for R400pm for some amount of bandwidth, basically a really good special. Where would one go to find such specials, does anyone know? We could make this thread that exact thing. A place for ISP package specials. :D :)

It's more around what FNO is available in your area, you then need to see what is available from ISPs on that FNO, the Cybersmart special for instance was only available on their network and coverage.
 
Good idea, I am currently looking for ISP's that have free install and/or free router on Openserve without having to sign a 24 month contract (I am fine with the 12 month cancel clause though). Now to try and find a deal like this is not the easiest especially with so many ISP's around.

Would love to go with Cool Ideas, but just a tad out of my price range currently.

We currently offer free installation :), hopefully there will be a price adjustment at the end of April as well.

Cool Ideas is definitely a good bet. They have options that will allow you the flexibility you are looking for. It was a hassle free switch (too) from the previous ISP.
 
Ja, I don't think they can bring their price down much on the 40/20MB option. Some of the other ISP's going for R1000-1100 uncapped whereas they are R1500. The problem is I am a bit hesitant to go with these other "big" ISP's solely on the basis that they get seriously crap reviews on this forum and elsewhere. IE Afrihost, Mweb etc

Just had a chat with one of the guys on your sales team, they don't seem to know anything about the installation offer. could you tell me more?

It's on our website for Openserve? Remember it's limited to that network.

Don't worry too much about the "free router part" most of them are very basic anyway - (if you got small'ish house you should be fine with any/most of them). The "router/fibre-router" is usually just a normal wifi router with a WAN port. Rather concentrate on the "free install" part. Also note some of them say "Free Setup,Free Connection" which is NOT the same as "Free Install"
 
Very confusing when you are browsing through all these ISP's in regards to Free installation etc etc
