Hello;

Its been asked a thousand times, and I realize I am not the only person whom have asked this question,

I am tired of mweb, I never seen above 110KBPS and regularly see 35-50KBPS on a 2Mb line, even if my downloads are local.

So I would like to know what isp do you ladies and Gentlemen recommend, I download around 25GB a month on average, and around 85GB a month at most(that was my highest) which was december last year, I would like to know whom do you recommend with signing on with.

Mweb are pathetic to say the least and I would to move to a new isp with a reliable fast network.

I am open to convincing but so far I really like the sound of arfi-host

Kind regards
Duncan

As an ex Mweb client, I'm with openweb for 2 months. I average 12GB a day on a 2MB line. I chose openweb as all of my friends, also ex Mweb, very happy with openweb. That's my 2c.

I suggest you test the isp's.

Mail them and ask for a test account. Ask all of them, Afrihost, openweb, axxess, whoever.

Then also monitor myBB, bad weeks happen to SA-internet, a isp even your exchange.

Also consider what you are using it for, and what times you generally use your account. Home uncapped is in my opinion a after-hours account, business a day-time.

I personally root for openweb uncapped... was on the Gamers-King and am now on the Hero account.
The Gamers King started giving trouble at one stage for daytime browsing, but was resolved within a hour (9-10 o'clock at night) with a new account... that is kinda what they do to resolve problems, but I was very happy that they got back to me even at night.

Tips:
1. If different isp & accounts suck equally, blame telkom.
2. You get what you pay for, look at the least and most expensive accounts and then personally decide how much value you place on your internet quality.
3. If not happy, try a different account... even sometimes at the same isp.
4. If you do 25gig-100gig, consider capped accounts. They are generally better quality, and the more uncapped I personally get, the bigger load of crap I download =D

Thank you for all the suggestions; will do so; and the only reason i dont download more is because its too slow to download more. But so far Afrihost has my attention but i will let you guys know when i swap over.

Kind Regards
