I used to have a link to a basic diagram that illustrated the ISP infrastructure, can someone point me in the right direction?

Was looking for something bit more local, but those two are a excellent start for me. Thx

**edit**
i.e. That shows how the locals interconnect and peer with each other

@hotmojo : what do you need to know about the local peering? i may be able to help you out with an answer to your research if you explain what you are trying to accomplish...

I am trying to illustrate the differences between the various ADSL, and diginet ISP's to my colleagues the differences in what sort of service can be expected.
We are currently using UUNET, which imho we should stay with, for our diginet based connection, but they are insisting on looking at cheaper options like ADSL .

The diag I had showed who connected with who, and was hoping someone may have it floating somewhere in their bookmarks.

Thx Adlo, thats the one, and the word topological. My brain is fried, thx again

ok, i get it. the big "decider" for you then will be whether you use any of the MPLS services over your Diginet service, or if you require QoS to any websites. If you dont, you will have a hard time justifying Diginet over ADSL.
So for the record - the edge router on the Telkom ADSL ATM cloud has three "links" into it at the moment - SAIX, IS and UUNET. All three can offer their package solutions as a 1st tier. If i was in your boat, i would supplement your Diginet with an IS ADSL option, using ADSL for local traffic and mail delivery, and keep Diginet for important international websites. IS offer a fixed IP for ADSL users, so it wont wreak havoc with your MX records..
Cheers ~
