Hello,

are there any ISPs offering unshaped ADSL service?

Telkom are, but I don't think any1 else is.
But you could get uncapped ADSL from www.storm.co.za for the same price as unshaped ADSL.

Counting down...
123 days till the end of Hellkom

ODS offer unshaped but don't know if they have gone live with it though

Well, I'm interested in gaming, especially trying some MMORPGs, and I hear that the port shaping kills these games. Unless anyone knows of a workaround?

I play a MMORPG based in Europe

You have 2 options - either get ISDN thought imaginet ( ask them to set u up throgh Grahamstown ) where you'd get ~ 250ms pings to mist European servers. You get infinite call and dial to grahamstown after 7pm

Or get unshaped ADSL- 270ms pings to most with 24hr connectivity. Also u can run more than just 1 or 2 machines at the same speeds.

um, if you VPN to someone that provides a "nocap" service - it will be unshaped unless they do it themselves..
