I've recently realised that my 5GB SAIX account from OpenWeb probably isn't the best way to go. After looking at ftp://ftp.uunet.co.za/ for the first time today, I realised I need some local bandwidth. I have a friend in Ireland who has an uncapped 5MB business line and he gave me full ssh access to his server there. So I want to get some local cap so I can upload nice juicy files to the uunet ftp, and then just download them with my cheap local cap.
I'm looking to spend no more than R270. The OpenWeb 3GB Int + 30GB Local isn't good for me as I will need international cap throughout the month.
After looking around it looks like the best way to go is:
3GB shaped SAIX international from WebAfrica @ R199 with a 10GB local-only IS from WebAfrica (or OpenWeb) @ R69. Therefore totaling R268 pm.
I will of course use Route Sentry. Does anybody have any other better options?
