Hi,

Is an ISP allowed to adjust their price lower for a FTTH or ADSL package and leave you on the higher price?

I am currently with Vox on a FTTH package which i have recently found out they lowered the price of the package a couple of months ago.
When i asked why i am being charged the higher rate i got told the new price is for new customers only but they are happy to convert me to the new price point.
How can they launch a lower price and leave all existing customers on the higher price point.

Is this protected under the consumer protection act?

Regards,

If you signed a contract... They have the option to drop your rate at their own good will but you signed at a specific price so they can keep it for the duration of the contract...

If you month to month then no... they have to adjust it down as their pricing changes.

This is on a month-to-month so am on the same understanding
interesting Vox don't believe it works this way and refuse to give any credit for the months they did not adjust

Which network operator? Vox has always moved clients to the currently offered rate.

This is with Vox on their FTTH package through Vumatel.
Thye are only adjusting the price now that i have queried it
