Hi guys, i was hoping someone could please help me if they know how. I want to setup an ISP, how does it work.

All i need is an internet connection?

Then do i just log onto my ISP page and away i go.

What if i want to offer certain speeds and certain bandwith allowance. Does it matter what connection i have and with who i have it.

1) If i have an oversease Isp, and someone(my potential customers) wants to use my services, all they would need is an internet connection?

sorry i am just a bit green but i have found the best overseas isp and the prices are so great. Really going to help people enjoy the net more.

Thanks
any help would be awesome.

You will need to resell SAIX or IS access for you to provide this service - the entry costs are very high if you want to have good pricing, though.

I recommend you contact them and ask what the dealer rates are.

Lastly, you will unfortunately not be able to make use of an international ISP locally.

thanks ravenserver, why cant i use international isp. Isnt it just like going onto a overseas website and using their services.

Its more like going over the sat3 cable and using there services.

To get onto the international internet u have to go trough the people who owns the sat3 cable and that would be like trying to be competition to neotel and Telkom... or something in that line
