Hey Everyone

I need your assistance to find out what ISP in South Africa offers Dynamic IP (DHCP) standard on an ADSL line. Here is some background why I need it. I have a social wifi solution form MyWifi that offers Social wifi solution so that clients can connect onto the "free wifi" at establishment using social media connections iso passwords. They do not allow PPPoe connections with the flash router. If anyone is aware of a ISP that offers DHCP connection please provide me withe their information.

Warm Regards

Umm... All of them? DHCP is just for your initial IP config. I'm not sure your post is clear.

Unaware of any that use the DHCP connection type,i've only ever seen DHCP offerings overseas on Cable-type internet installations,South Africa is generally PPPoE (and no auth for Mobile connections)

But it's not needed, get your Prefererred Internet Provider connection set up,then use a Router to offer the connection over DHCP to this "flash" router

all of the ISP's have dynamic IP's on their accounts. It is the closest you get to DHCP....

From your initial post it sounds as if you need a firewall with DHCP server on your site to do NATting for your clients to the outside world. Your typical ISP will not be able to allocate 100+ public IP's for one ADSL account, you have to provide that yourself for your clients.

Put an ADSL modem in front of it. e.g. DLink 2500U. Done!
