I don't know what to do anymore. I have a 10M uncapped account with Cybersmart and a 20Gig SoftCap account with Telkom as a backup.
I recently started with online trading, and are totally dependent on my internet. Since last Thursday (16th July), I can not open my trading sites like www.investopedia.com, www.acadamyft.com and even sites like facebook, www.espncricketinfo.com (does not open at all). The funny thing is that youtube streams in HD without a hiccup, but vimeo.com does not stream at all. We can not log into certain games on the PS4, like "Battle Island". Sites like google.com, the banking sites, gumtree works fine. When I switch to the 20Gig SoftCap, everything works 100%. Please note that the same happens all the devices at home, like my android device, my wife's desktop and her android cellphone.
I've reported the the fault to Cybersmart, and they have reset the port, rebuild the port, change the IP address. They initially said that it is due to excessive usage (132G for the month), but later confirmed that there is no shaping or throttling on my account. I've reset my DLink router to default, changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, but the problem persist. I've asked Cybersmart to escalate the fault to a higher level. It is almost a week, and the problem is still the same. at least I can partially open facebook.
Anybody out there that can shed so light on the subject?
