Issue installing Project Pro for Office 365 with Office 2013 installed

Hi Everyone

I am hoping someone can assist or advise on what options I have.

I have MS Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) installed on my computer (licensed with product key) and have just purchased project pro for office 365. I am now getting an error that they are not compatible and that office will be uninstalled if I proceed with the installation of Project.

I have done some searching around and the only option I have seen is to upgrade Office which I assume means I would need to purchase it again? This seems crazy that there is no way to make it work besides forking out more money for a product that has already been bought. Is there possibly a way to run Project 2013 on the 365 account?

UPDATE

So after ages of researching online and about an 1 hour in online chat with Microsoft support finally got this sorted.

They upgraded my office 2013 to office 2016 - FOR FREE - and all working nicely now

Am quite impressed with that
