so a few nights ago i updated sc2 and suddenly my profile pic doesnt show and achievements are
not loading when i log in.

is anyone else having the same issue???

No problems here.

Does it just take long to show or doesn't it show at all? Before the update, it took a while to show (iburst connection) but since the update, it seems better.

I did a re-install since I bought a new hdd, and have been having same issues.

you log in, but if you want to view something like achievements, it just shows the rotating arrow.

if you go to something like the missions it just shows a blank page.

if you go into the campaign then if you go to the Archives and view older missions, your achievement block shows no images either.

I have looked around and it seems like it is a B.net issue since my online profile views fine.

just irritating cause it has been like it for a few days now.

well the game plays fine but still the same issues, no portrait achievements and i did double check the firewall,
its happening to me now on 2 diff pc 1 with vista and 1 with win 7 both same just the little rotating arrow when
its supposed to load

why I say it is a B.net issue.

it is something to do with how the game "pulls" information from their cloud servers.

yes you can play campaign and yes you can get the campaign achievements.
yes you can do the challenges and yes you can get the challenge achievements.

but if you want to view your profile in the game it is all wonky.

I have submitted a ticket with Blizzard support, but it seems they do take a while to reply.

all we can do is wait and see that it gets fixed on their side.
as frustrating as it may seem now. :(

i know what you mean i have logged a ticket with Blizzard and i agree with you its the info being pulled in game
that is the issue cause i have logged onto bnet and its doing ok just ingame info all funky!

Off-The-Chart please keep this updated with what Blizzard tell you because Im having the exact same problem and its frikken annoying.

went into game this morning and finally the in-game "messenger" that is next to your login, finally displays that they are aware of issues plaguing users.

so now let's hope it gets sorted soon.

Whats your connection speed? I know it takes a while, like the previous poster said, the game streams data from the bnet servers, this takes a really long time , took 20 minutes but the data does come up eventually.

This happens when you have a new install on the PC or reinstalled Starcraft 2.

What you can try is patience, load the game and keep it open for a while, this will allow it to download the cache files needed (Log in of course).

My friend reports that it doesn't really matter what connection you have ( be it 4mbps or whatever ) it still takes long, the bnet server seems to only allow a cap amount of bandwidth.

As a test, hover your mouse cursor over the faded out "Quick Match" , a tool-tip will appeared displaying "Downloading content" or some such.

Once the MP button etc shows up, you'll notice that when you join a quick match that it will start loading files, it'll do this for each of the modes : 1v1 , 2v2 etc

cannot be connection related, but will give it a try thanx.

saying that cause before my reinstall it would practically load instantly (4meg).

will load it up now and let it sit for a bit. will report back.

k scratch that... maintenance in operation so will only be back online 1PM CET.

Report back on what the tool-tip displays on the [Quick Match] button when you hover your mouse over it.

This will clearly indicate if you need to wait a bit :)

I believe that the battle net 2 servers are optimized in some way to evenly distribute bandwidth across the entire platform, meaning that your 4 mbps connection wont help you getting your profile data quicker then a 384 kbps say. (granted if there are a lot of users on the network)

But for interest sake, if your using windows 7, run the resource manager, go to the Network tab and check out the data flow from SC2.exe, it would be interesting.

Check if its running at top speed, mine (384kbps) was only getting a low 14kb/s or 15 000 something bytes a second.

k so it seems everything is still offline.

not sure why they give an estimated time when it will be done then.

rather just say begins Wednesday and ends Thursday morning.

+1 to this.

I do the same thing and it fixes it everytime. You'll notice that when you log in and haven't yet clicked the "OK" to select your one and only avatar (go figure why I'd have to click ok ?), the battlecruiser floating around in the background is slightly jerky, almost like your pc is doing something in the background. I normally leave it there for some time (go make coffee or something). I try it a couple of times, and eventually it sorts out and I can see my profile pic and achievements. Don't click OK until your portrait shows at least. Do this a couple of times and it generally sorts things out. No guarentee, but it's worked for me everytime so far.
