Issues sending email

Hi

Having problems sending emails. The Error message says

"Failed to transport message. The remote host closed the connection "

Is this something on your end?

Am using smtp.afrihost.co.za , port 587, STARTTLS, plain authentication.

Note: Kmail updated over weekend, issues started after Eskom-induced reboot.
Note 2: Helpdesk non-responsive as usual.

Okay sending works with Thunderbird so the issue must be something my end in Kmail.
Have no idea WHAT though ....

STARTTLS should be "None".
