Hi Guys, i was hoping that you could assist.

Since yesterday, I have been having serious problems with accessing certain websites on Telkom's Uncapped LTE service.
There seems to be an issue as well for accessing PSN for online gaming.
I have logged a fault this morning with Telkom directly, but they inform me that a Technician will look into it and advise me. I cannot wait this long though, as I am not certain as to when they will attend to the problem.

I have read a previous thread about changing my APN to "TelkomInternet" and have done so, but still cannot access certain websites, especially overseas sites. I do note that I can still connect to certain apps such as YouTube etc, but the main priority is PSN for now.

Can someone please advise on a fix (if any), and if you are also experiencing this?

Yeah Nits, there is a problem with Telkom's standard DNS. I had managed to log on yesterday onto PSN by following steps suggested by Isheed_cn, which I had found on the net and it seemed to work.

Simply log onto your router and go onto Ethernet Settings and change the DNS manually. Then enter 8.8.8.8 as your primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as your secondary. This by the way is the Google Public DNS. You can also try opendns as well.

You should be able to log onto PSN with no hassle, however, certain websites do still have problems loading, such as showmax, baby city etc... At least you can get onto PSN with this fix.

Anyone with any luck here? 4 days running now with the same issues on certain sites?

Hetzner is one of the sites affected, having to do all my work from mtn/vodacom

Ya, APN or DNS change doesn't work. Can't access any sites at all. Located in Centurion.

How do you do this? Don't you need Username/Password?

I'm also curious, when is Telkom going to STOP CENSORING the internet. Its their doing not our issue to find a work around.

Dailymaverick, Carbonite, what did they do wrong?

Hi all. Tried all of these tips and still no psn. Has anyone found a different fix? Also based in kzn

Did you change your dns on your router or ps? I found that changing the dns on the router didn't fix my connection to psn but when I changed my dns on the ps itself, it worked.

I didn't even think of this. I only changed it on my router. Thanks Faheem, will give it a bash

Did what Faheem said, changed my primary dns on the ps4 to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4 . Works even quicker than it normally does with better ping in Battlefield 1. Thanks Faheem

Only way I found that worked for me was creating an apn on my phone the same way but I set it as "unrestricted" instead of "telekominternet" hope that helps bud.
These issues make online gaming almost impossible because of the Nat type
