Issues with adsl connection

Hi guys,

Been using my adsl for a while now, but as of last week i have been having issues.

For some reason my connection keeps dropping, and not resuming. When i log into the router to see what the problem is, i am disconnected, and when i try to connect i get an error "cannot resolve an IP address". For a while i will be disconnected, then all of a sudden i am connected again.

My ISP is axxess. I had telkom reset my line, and this hasn't helped.

Anybody know where the problem could be and what i can do to resolve.

Any diagnostics i can run on it?

Its a linksys WRT54. Less then a year old.

im no techie so i wouldn't know if you can run diagnotics on it, google it and see what you come up with, otherwise try and get your hands on another router to test your line but it does sound like router is faulty, when you get disconnected does the LAN icon show that you are disconnected? if so, then your network cable might be faulty.
