Hi folks,
I'm admittedly a very heavy user of the Iternet, AI is my excuse and Im sticking to it. Nevertheless, I had Openweb's uncapped premiom 30MBps LTE-A (not fixed) via an MTN sim. All good until it wasnt. I had really good connectio in my area (Benoni AH) and then it just stopped. I was told some nonesense about my account (which was NOT in arrears and never was or would ever be) and they needed to reregister me to clear up that issue. Trusting me, I grumbled a bitr but agreed. The arrival of the much anticipated new sim eventua;;y ha[[ened and to my utter dismay, I got a Hellkom sim. Telkom is TERRIBLE in my area, they know this which is why I was put on MTN when I first complained. This new debacle happened Friday past. I tried contacting whatsapp support but I am blocked. What fun. Email support is slow but hey, what to do. When I did get a response it was not rude as such but they told me that my usage is too high and they cant move me back to MTN. Ive asked the difficult question and am awaiting response on why I wasnt informed when it became an issue. I now pay 587 PM for 3/1mbps util I reach telkoms soft FUP throttle. Not possible under these snail pace speeds. Anyone else have a similar. Im terminating and going satellite with Vox, btw

Im searching for something good, thus far in vain. No fibre, no fixed LTE only mobile internet available. We're low on the fibre priority list and I'm moving to Lillyvale shortly, hence satellite.

Yep, MTN rocks the Banana, Openweb will not supply me with the MTN product due to high usage. Makes me laugh. How I found out was a assistant inadvertently let the cat out the bag. Her boss, today, almost tripped over his feet in order to dispell that info. Ag, Im over them. Not going to HelloPeter them, whats the point. They've been in business for a long time and there arent too many users who smack 2.5TB in a month, so my issues dont affect them. If Rain was readily available in my area, I'd have stayed with them. No 5g here, barely any fibre so its fixed LTE or LTE-A only. I like LTE-A because the top speed speed is more than I need and it's not geo-specific per se. ** typos are my own creation, apologies for any triggers caused **
