Isuzu 250 power problems

Can some one help , my 2006 model 2,5 diesel isuzu runs out of power at 3500 rpm , i have changed fuel filters and airfilter however it still have the same problem please advice my next step

Can you get it to rev higher than 3500 rpm or does it just sit there?

Reason why I ask is that I think that most diesels have little power at that range.

The 2.5 diesel Isuzus were never known for their power delivery.

I would say the EGR valve is blocked but that would be a guess.

I would've guessed coils but I don't think Diesel engines have coils. Maybe compression is compromised
