POSITION:** IT Solutions Sales Rep
LOCATION:** Gauteng region with head office in Roodepoort
SALARY:****** R15-20kpm plus commission, tools of the trade and fuel

OVERVIEW:
Target driven and experienced IT and/or Data Management Solutions Sales Rep needed for a growing data management solutions and services company based in Roodepoort. Must have at least 4 years’ external business development and sales experience preferably in IT and/or Data Management solutions and services. Matric, SA ID, valid licence, own reliable car and willingness to travel are essential requirements. An IT/Data Management related qualification is a definite advantage.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • At least 4 years’ external business development and sales experience
  • Proven track record in selling IT and/or Data Management solutions and services
  • Ability to generate own leads through cold calling, networking and referrals
  • Target driven and motivated by honest and ethical new business acquisition
  • Self-managed, use own initiative and be reliable
  • Must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts
  • Understanding of long sales cycles and pipelines
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to think differently, learn and embrace new methodologies in solving complex issues
  • Possess an entrepreneurial approach to solving client’s business challenges
  • Willingness to travel
  • IT qualification a definite advantage
  • Sales qualification a definite advantage
  • Own reliable car and valid SA driver’s licence
  • Valid SA ID

ROLE INSIGHTS:

  • Generate own leads and engage to qualify leads into opportunities
  • Execute the sales process through to closure with a focus on maintaining communication with the client during the implementation process
  • Act as a subject matter expert on both the company's and competitor's solutions and services with specific focus on data management
  • Meet and ideally exceed new business sales targets
  • Develop compelling value propositions for company solutions and services, based on a solid business case and its overall impact on the client's company data management needs and requirements
  • Request guidance from more experienced team members in complex situations
  • Develop strategic business relationships with key decision makers

Please note: This is not an Account Manager role and is ideal for a self-motivated and target driven sales person who is not afraid to achieve targets through their own efforts and with the full support of the business.
