Thanks @Drizzy,

You did all you could, some people are here to discredit info instead of validating.

Showed your receipts - "Nah, you fabricated info using MS paint"
Gave business physical address - "Nah, you are an agent hired to SCAM us"
Shared 3rd part courier paperwork - "Nah, it was a different legitimate order, you change info"

They could have validated by going to the business, or checking with 3rd party stakeholders. "Nah, I will deny and deny from my seat. "

I'm placing an order now, with option of paying on delivery.

I am the one that kind of started this whole
back and forth. I replied to the first message (with an admittedly very generic and scammy message) and after people started questioning me, had actually shown an invoice (and may have accidentally leaked some personal info ~ oops). I have since then deleted my messages because I like having a smaller digital footprint + the messages didn’t get me anywhere anyways. You will see my @ mentioned every now and then in the earlier comments

I see a reasonably reputable user on Carbonite ordered RAM from ITworkup and received it:

Again, I'm not going to order from this shop - but it's a bit disingenuous to keep this trolling up until we've actually had someone order from them and not receive anything.

Hey Hey... remember you badged me as the boss... i am right here. You guyz make me laugh. my laptop also landed on my doorstep airborne. Do you want me to add the pictures, proof and pictures of my toenails too? Like I been sayying i think this is all opposition parties threatened by ITworkup who want to slam and if you look at their invoice number, looks like they did few hundred orders from my order a week before

Linclion, i guess you now also the bossa at ITworkup too like me. Do not fret cuzz they all here slamming a great store which i am enjoying. maybe the less peoiple who order the better the prices will stay for longer for us :sneaky:

Legitimate or not, the amount of work these new or previously-dormant accounts is putting into defend a company where they have no horse in the race is unusual to say the least. If I said Pick n Pay is a scam, nobody would start posting pictures of their receipts and shopping bags - much less create an account here to do so.

Going PURELY by the behaviour in this thread, it's doing more harm than good.

To add, they ARE legit. I've used them myself :)

@ITworkup Welcome to the forum, I just want to clarify something

You say
We handle all warranty services directly so that any faulty products are either replaced or refunded quickly, minimizing any inconvenience to our customers.

If I understand this correctly, for example if I ordered a GPU that came from the European office and required warranty support then I would send it back to the local office in Midrand then the assessment and replacement/refund decision would be made quickly, no need to wait for it to be shipped back to European office?

Regarding stock from European office
The grey import question which I guess this technically is since it's stock not going through official South African distributors, people are somewhat concerned that their warranty is then directly tied to the viability of ITworkup South Africa, are there any contingency procedures in place to make sure that customer warranty will continue to be supported should ITworkup South Africa decide not to continue operations.

Thanks and wishing you much success with ITworkup South Africa.

As long as I get my goods, I couldn't careless how they bank.
Quite the bundle of joy aren't you.

I now remember why I am not longer customer facing..

Greetings everyone,

I've come across this thread and noticed some concerns regarding ITworkup. As the founder and CEO, I want to clarify our legitimacy and address any concerns.

1. Affiliation with ITwork.lt: ITworkup shares its roots with the European branch called ITwork.lt. The European branch has over 1.3k google reviews and 700+ on Facebook, and positive feedback on other platforms for over 7 years. For verification, you can contact ITwork.lt directly.

2. Partnership with CSSI South Africa: We operate alongside CSSI South Africa - Data Recovery & Data Storage Distribution, a company with over 20 years of operation in SA. Both comapnies share the same director and office space. CSSI can confirm this.

3. Secure payment options: We offer "Payment on Delivery" or "Payment on Collection" options in the Johannesburg area, allowing you to pay only upon receiving your order.

4. Proven track record: This year alone, we've successfully delivered over 1,000 orders in South Africa without issues. Our Google and Hellopeter profiles feature over 160+ positive reviews. We're not perfect, and while we will defend ourselves if we feel a review is unfair we don't delete bad reviews

5. Visit our local office: Our Midrand office is open during business hours. You're welcome to visit and meet us, see our company first hand, and feel safe about your purchases.

We will participate on this forum and will respond to any queries within 24 hours. Please let us know how else we can assist show our commitment to reliable service.

P.S. Here are photos of our main European office to further show our transparency. All shipments dispatched from this location within the promised 5-12 working days.

Hello

Please follow the process to get registered as a verified business representative.

Dear @Intox,

Thank you for your thoughtful questions.

Warranty Process:

Yes, you understood correctly. For warranty support, such as with a graphics card or any other device, we initiate by ordering a free pickup by The Courier Guy from any location in South Africa to our office in Midrand. Upon receipt, we inspect the product for any physical or liquid damage and to ensure it hasn't been disassembled. We then conduct our own testing. If the product is faulty, we offer either a full refund or a replacement. Please note, if you opt for a replacement, it may take 5-12 working days for delivery if we source it from our European warehouses.

We've had a few warranty cases, like an Xbox that shut down after 7 seconds of turning on. The client chose to wait for a new product due to our competitive pricing, and we delivered it within 8 working days.

Our local distributors usually provide a refund or a new product for defective items under warranty, so we aim to avoid wasting customer time.

European Stock:

You may refer to them as Grey imports, but we source the same brands and products from our European distributors as your local distributors might offer. We work directly with many manufacturers like MSI, Deepcool, Gigabyte, Asus, and Asrock through our European distributors. Last year, our company's turnover was nearly 100 million Rands, establishing us as a recognized entity in our region.

The same warranty that applies to a Gigabyte Graphics card should be valid here in South Africa. However, contacting us directly is often faster and more efficient since we need to return the defective product to its origin.

We are committed to being here long-term and anticipate rapid expansion in South Africa. As mentioned earlier, our affiliation with CSSi Company, which shares the same director and has been successful for over 20 years, stands as our best guarantee. CSSi is a significant company with a long history.

I hope this answers your questions thoroughly. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any further queries.

Wish you a great Wednesday!

Wow there is a official rep here now, guess that will stop the throw away acounts ...

Can I offer some advice?

The constant fake discounts and advertising strategies you employ doesnt lend any credence to your clear long career, especially not in the south african market, it might be worth taking some effort and working on those :)

Hi,

Stumbled across this thread when also trying to research if IT Work-up is legit...

Saw they had an address in Midrand not far from me so paid their offices a visit.

With the option of payment on order delivery at their offices with only a small deposit I placed an order on the 27th April and it arrived today (8th May) and I paid the balance on collection.

I have sourced parts from various suppliers for my build and have another order with them that should be arriving next week.

So far the whole experience of dealing with IT workup has been great so i just thought I would take the effort to register and comment back on this thread in support of people looking for feedback and help promote what I found to be a great purchase experience.
