I called the number from Google 011-5419900 some other company in that building answered and according to her they have permanently closed and no one at their office.
I placed an order for ARC GPU and have been waiting for their delivery. I guess we are fooooked.

This was on the 27th of Feb. So it appears shop has been closed from the 1st of March

Was this just a long scam?

I placed a order in Dec and picked up at their offices and it was a fairly big operation by what I saw and the people were friendly.

My delivery took quite long and I decided to rather use local shops and not a dropshipper like them in future but I never got the idea that they were a cut and run type business.

My suspicion is that the local subsidiary and the international company had some sort of fallout.

Have you tried contacting their Eu operations?
I hope all you guys paid via debit or credit card because then you can do a chargeback

Anyone else noticed how scammy ****s use 500 emojis in their messages?

Hi everyone. I registered an account just to comment as I have been following this thread and I am a bit concerned.

I purchased a smartphone from ITWorkup. It took longer than expected, an extra few days after the expected 14 business day mark, but the team was very communicative with me the entire way (Ulrich and Tim) and replied to my emails very promptly. They explained the delay was due to issues with customs, which I completely understand and empathize with. My last communication from them was this past Tuesday when my item was delivered to me and I received the automated email confirmation from their system.

I was very happy with their service but I am concerned now about any warranty claims I may have in future. I purposely ordered my phone from them rather than saving myself a few thousand rands buying direct overseas as I wanted a local distributor to handle any warranty claims I may have in the next several years.

Hoping ITWorkup can comment on what exactly is going on and if any future warranty claims will still be handled?

Unfortunately, you are luckier than some as you got your product, they just lost money and got nothing to show for it.

TBH, it was always a risk buying from these newer guys when there are more established and trusted online shops in South Africa.

this is really shocking if they have upped and left. Hoping they can respond immediately as many people seem to have orders outstanding with them. If a company is planning to shutdown they need to let customers know well in advance, not just disappear overnight!

@ScottulusMaximus did the same thing to his customers, claimed he was under liquidation, and then just started resuming his business.

Thanks for the update here everyone...I've been looking at these guys for some parts for a new build.
They had some good prices and were pretty quick on the email responses.
