So i phoned them up recently to get a limit put on my contract as i keep overspending and wanted to limit it to R550. The call centre agent said not a problem and put me through to the accounts department. I was then told i'm not allowed to put a limit on my contract as 'we don't do that anymore'

Surely this isn't cricket?

Ever other service provider allows this service why not them?

Italk Cellular has been bought over by MTN SP. From the 11th of September, all these issues will be handled by MTN SP. If you can wait one month, you can have it.

Not worth the energy fighting with that useless company when they are not going to exist in a month's time.

I don't mind paying for the limit. But to simply say you can't offer the service is downright ridiculous.

Thanks for the heads up broken1 will wait till september and try again.

They told me the same thing a while back, some stupid reason like they didn't have someone monitoring the limit on a public holiday

Thats why i didnt renew my contract :)
