Well today I got my sms from MTNSP welcoming me to their family :erm:

So now I decide to use MTNSP "upgrade" sms thingie and I got a reply telling me 2011-05-12. Now i know for a fact i did not open this contract this year so either that service is faulty or they have already screwed up my data

@Data_Dude: Any advice?

ye i upgraded my one contract early... can still hear the womens voice in my mind telling me my new package will only kick in on sept 11th 2008. the other contract i upgraded not too long after that.

According to the sms, my contract would needed to have started 2009-07-12 provided the date given to me was the 2 months early upgrade date, which is theoretically and practically impossible

So is there anything I need to do from my side? I don't have an insurance with italk and I am on a debit order.

Didn't you get the sms from iTalk/MTN?

Apparently we covered till Oct 11, after that we need to source our own insurance, but they did give the details for the insurance company which iTalk used, New National.

Oh never mind, i see you say you don't have insurance. The only thing you need to do is obviously RICA and then if your debit order is in the beginning of the month i would check up on that because I got an sms telling me MTN debits last day of each month

The date you see is 2 years as of the date you were migrated from iTalk to MTN, this will be changed to the correct value in about a day or 2 from now, then just wait for MTN active to be updated with the correct date.

Insurance will not be moved from italk over to MTN, since MTN does not do inhouse insurance.
