These things any good in the industry?

I've seen a few jobs requiring ITIL certified.

ITIL, formerly an acronym for Information Technology Infrastructure Library, is a set of practices for IT service management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT services with the needs of business. In its current form (known as ITIL V3), ITIL is published as a series of five core volumes, each of which covers a different ITSM lifecycle stage. Although ITIL underpins ISO/IEC 20000 (previously BS 15000), the International Service Management Standard for IT service management, there are some differences between the ISO 20000 standard and the ITIL framework.

i'm ITIL v3 certified.... Its yet to make any difference in regard to my current job or any interviews I have been for.

Did a few, it's the same case as other frameworks. They're meant to provide guidelines, but in the real world doesn't have much of an application in complex environments...

Not really interested in the real world ;)

I just need to get out of where I am and into something decent. A few jobs I've seen, require the certification before applying .. so thought maybe it'll assist?

Well do the Foundation at the very least, it will give you a good overview of what it's about.

I personally find it to be a bit boring, but the company is insisting that I do them all and it does look good on your CV.

Foundation is easy, but it does get a bit tricky in some of the other streams...

Thanks Mike.

From what I've what I've seen, non technical and focused on the commercial side ?
