TFG Infotec is a dynamic, well-established information and communication technology (ICT) organisation dedicated to the development and implementation of world-class IT systems and infrastructure for TFG (The Foschini Group). We are looking for an ITIL Change & Release Manager to ensure that standardised processes and methods are used for efficient and prompt handling of all IT changes and releases in the IT environment.

Key performance areas:

• Managing IT change policy and processes in order to minimise the business impact of change related incidents or problems upon service quality.
• Manage the day to day Change operational activities within the organization, including Forward Schedule of Changes, CAB meetings, change approval, assessing change risks, post implementation change reviews etc.
• Taking forward and implementing Release Management processes and operational activities with the primary objective of improving IT service stability and availability through better release and deployments processes.
• Ensuring relevant audit checks and controls are in place and monitored for compliance to policy and processes for Changes and Releases.
• Producing relevant IT Change Management reporting and metrics as well as identifying trends.
• Initiating and developing IT Release Management reporting and metrics.
• Managing and applying continual service improvement plan and approach for Change and Release Management processes to ensure optimal stability of IT for the organization according to ITIL V3 framework and guidelines.

To qualify for this position, you will need:

• A relevant tertiary qualification and proven Change and Release Management experience (preferred)
• ITIL v3 Foundation certification
• Relevant experience in general IT management
• A strong commitment towards professional service delivery
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical skills and a process style of thinking
• Good interpersonal skills
• To be a team player and be able to facilitate interaction between multiple teams within TFG Infotec
• To be deadline driven
• To be able to drive change and influence decision makers
• To be able to operate independently
• Advanced Excel skills

Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
