did you manage to find out anything on these ? I was also recommended to use this brand for a few geysers.
Came across this thread as I'm looking for a new heat pump myself.
I can only give my personal experience using an ITS heat pump for our home use. Short of it all - it was a disaster in the end.
Had it installed in 2014 by a company called Ecologic. Costed us about R13k after some good rebates from Eskom and Absa. Installation was neat and can't fault them here.
A little surprise we found afterwards was that the 5-year guarantee on the device would only be honored if we serviced the unit annually by Ecologic. Cost of each service was just over R1000. I don't know if this is driven by ITS themselves or the installers.
We serviced it every year. It gave an issue or two in the 5-year period and Ecologic acting as an agent took it to ITS to fix. Just after 5 years it gave a problem again. Costed about R1600 or so to fix. Then about 6 months later it died. Bill was R6000. Naturally we were unhappy as with bills like this our investment wasn't saving us money.
We fought with Ecologic about this and that was such a pain. Lady running the show is super unfriendly. They wanted to charge us an extra R250 per week that our unit was sitting at ITS's warehouse as apparently that's the SLA between them and ITS (which was never brought to our attention). More to the story but I'll leave it there.
We're looking to get a new heat pump now but personally I'll be looking at a different brand. I don't know if my experience was an anomaly though.
