It's Showtime!

The iTunes Music Store is offline and the portal pages has been replaced with a banner page reading "It's Showtime - The iTunes Store is being updated".

This is normal behaviour before a change is announced, like the one later today. Interestingly, the US Apple store is still up.

Looks like todays, announcement is the movie store, and maybe the expansion of tv shows and movies outside of the US?

And this benefits us how?

They don't even let us buy songs let alone movies!

Besides with the cost per movie + bandwidth it's hardly gonna be worth it for the average person without uncapped internet even if we had access to it.
