Why doesn't it save?

I selected a ton of albums and fetched artwork - which all arrived and everything was great. But now that I've cleaned and renewed my library, none of them have stuck and I have to Fetch Artwork again?

No, not normal - I've transferred my libraries on numerous occasions and had no trouble retaining the artwork.

What file formats are you using?

MP4's will save the data inside the file, but I believe MP3 does not.

MP3 shouldn't have a problem with embedded album art. I have plenty of MP3's in my library and never had issues.

Where did you get your music from and what method are you using to embed album art?

No, not normal - I've transferred my libraries on numerous occasions and had no trouble retaining the artwork.

By transfer - you mean export?
Or clear the library and point it to the MP3 library again from start?

Are you using Mac or Windows?

Artwork that you manually collect for a track is embedded into the file itself, artwork downloaded via itunes goes into a directory therefore if you don't copy that, as well as the database file, you're SOL.
